Established in 2011, the charity foundation My Dream Day is an organisation relying on volunteer activity and the donations of businesses and individuals. The goal of the foundation is to offer seriously or chronically ill children and their families emotional support and fun, positive experiences and strength on the exhausting journey through the disease.
At My Dream Day, we work to enable every ill child to enjoy their childhood and experience positive emotions that support coping with treatment and illness. The foundation works with more than 80+ eager volunteers who organise fun and educational dream events for the children and families in our target group. We cooperate with Estonia’s largest hospitals and several patient organisations all over Estonia. The main focus of My Dream Day is on organisation of personal dream days, providing children nominated by their doctors with a day filled with their dreams and desires, offering the best emotions, surprises and special moments. We also organise group events helping families of seriously ill children to break out of their routine, communicate with other people in a similar situation and enjoy the time spent together. Every year we arrange around 100 dream day events. We help to believe and make dreams to come true.
The donations help us to organise personal dream days and fun family events.
- For instance, a monthly contribution of €10 from two regular donors enables us to pay arrange a fun activity at the Childrens Hospital.
- A monthly contribution of €5 from one regular donor enables us to rent a limousine for one hour as part of someone’s dream day.
- Or a monthly contribution of €25 from one regular donor enables us to pay for the services of a party host on the family day.
The organization is included on the list of income tax incentive non-profit organizations and the donors will get back the income tax paid from their donation and the donations made by companies are tax-free (Estonian Income Tax Act § 49). Read more about taxes: Donating and taxes.

NGO Older Brother, Older Sister: Every Child Deserves a Friend!
There are thousands of kids in Estonia who lack adequate emotional support. Your donation helps to provide support, role models and friendship to more children. Our programme is for children who feel lonely and excluded due to a temporary crisis, long-term illness, difficult family relationships, special needs or any other reason. The programme is built on a one-on-one friendship and weekly meetings between the child and an older sister/brother. The multi-year programme entails undertaking fun and educational activities together and can lead to a beautiful friendship that lasts a lifetime.

The Children's Foundation has many different areas of contribution, but children with rare diseases need the biggest support from donators. Their treatment is almost always highly expensive and is not covered by health insurance, as it is not cost effective enough.
