Noticing that a child, young person or colleague is stressed at school is already the first step in helping them. We want everyone to feel safe and cared for at school, which is why we believe that mental health first aid skills should reach as many educators as possible. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a simple, five-step support you can provide when you notice someone who may need mental health help. This entails helping someone who is developing a mental health problem, whose existing mental health problem is getting worse or who is having a mental health crisis. Mental health first aid is provided until appropriate professional help is obtained or the crisis is resolved. It will certainly never replace professional help, but by training mental health first aiders, we can significantly increase the number of people who can help take the first steps towards healing and sometimes even save lives.

Based on previous experience, each MHFA training participant will provide first aid to at least three people in need. The goal of Peaasi.ee is to ensure that by the end of 2022, 1% of the Estonian population, including 10% of Estonian educators, will be able to provide mental health first aid.

It costs € 66 for one educator to participate in mental health first aid training.

We can organize one VTEA training if 100 people donate 10 euros each, 40 people donate 25 euros or 20 people donate 50 euros.

We collect donations through the donation environment so that education workers in Estonia could participate in mental health first aid trainings. Our goals is to collect 1% of the total training budget as donations, i.e. € 30,000.

The organization is included on the list of income tax incentive non-profit organizations.
