In August a dog named Roosi was brought under the care of the Estonian Animal Welfare Society (ELS). She was underwieght and wandered around Märjamaa Parish. After being placed in the shelter, the dog was examined by veterinarians at PetCity Animal Clinic. During X-rays, it was discovered that about 5 years old Roosi had been pregnant for 1.5 months. On the first day of September, Roosi began to give birth. She developed hoof presses and a slight vaginal discharge which caused her to feel restless and the shelter decided to take her to the clinic for examination. The inspection revealed that the puppies are in the process of delivery, but the dog is not pressing. As the veterinary procedures proceeded, soon began the first light presses, which, however, was not enough for puppies to be born.It was only after manual assistance that the first puppy was born, after 30 minutes the second one. The third puppie was also born naturally. With the fourth puppy, the vets decided not to wait anymore and performed a caesarean section and then sterilized her. Today, Roosi has recovered from surgery and all puppies are recovering. We ask the help of kind donors to help pay Roosi´s treatment bill and support the dog family until a new real home is found.
