Rabbits are now the third most popular pets in Estonia, but they are not easy to care for. They are active, headstrong animals that need plenty of space and stimulation. When expectations don’t match reality, people often give them up too easily.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation about rabbit care. Misunderstandings about diet, living conditions, and veterinary care can lead to serious welfare and health issues.

With your donations, we help abandoned and mistreated rabbits. Our biggest expense is veterinary care. Rabbits are treated by exotic animal vets, and even basic procedures like spaying or neutering are far more expensive than for cats. We aim to provide the best medical care and species-appropriate living conditions. Healthy rabbits are rehomed, while those with chronic health issues receive lifelong care at our shelter.

What your donation can do:

• 10 euros – buys 3 kg of dry food or 2 tubes of hairball paste
• 25 euros – covers vaccination or microchipping for one rabbit, or buys 10 kg of dry food
• 75 euros – covers basic clinical tests (e.g., X-ray) or buys two hay bales (about two months’ supply)
