The Crisis Programme for Children and Youth is dedicated to supporting bereaved children. Sadly, hundreds of children a year experience the pain of loss following the death of a loved one.
For 30 years, we’ve been the only organisation in Estonia to run grief support groups and camps for children and young people who have lost a loved one. More than 1500 children and young people have taken part. We want to ensure the continuity of grief support camps in the future, as the feedback of children and families to the camps has been extremely good.
In grief support camps, children experience understanding and support from peers and group leaders with similar experiences. The camp days are also filled with fun activities (creative and sports events, workshops, performances, excursions). The programme has so far been free of charge for families.
Your donations will help grieving children find joy, faith in themselves and a future. We use the donations to organise individual counselling sessions for children and young people and their parents and provide the opportunity to participate in an age-appropriate grief support group and grief support camps.
A €10 can be used to pay for children’s group work and creative work materials in bereavement support groups.
A €25 donation allows one child to participate in a one-day bereavement support camp, including accommodation and meals.
A €75 donation allows a child and family to participate once in individual grief counselling anywhere in Estonia.
