The Pirita Volunteer Sea Rescue team (Watergratt Pirita NGO) operates in Tallinn Bay – the busiest maritime area in Estonia, where most of the country’s sea rescue operations take place. Our mission is to save lives and raise awareness about water safety.
In 2024, we trained over 1,500 people, and our public events attracted 5,000 participants. That same year, we were recognized as Estonia’s most active volunteer sea rescue unit – we responded to one-fifth of all rescue calls!
To continue this vital work, we need a new engine for our rescue boat – the old one no longer guarantees reliability. A new engine is expensive, and we need your support to acquire it.
