How does your donation help?
Every day, schools and kindergartens need to replace teachers due to illness, training, vacations, or other reasons. School leaders often struggle because finding substitute teachers is time-consuming and difficult. Today, there is a serious shortage of teachers, and some schools have not been able to find subject teachers at all.
Through the Substitute Teachers Program, schools can quickly find a replacement teacher, while also supporting people on their path to becoming full-time teachers.
So far, over 100,000 teaching hours have been covered in more than 450 educational institutions, and over 170 substitute teachers have gone on to become full-time teachers. The Ministry of Education and Research has chosen us as a strategic partner in supporting the transition to Estonian-language education, providing substitute teachers when regular teachers are absent.
The program ensures that lessons are not cancelled, while also investing in the future. Each year, ASÕP’s growth program brings 60–80 new qualified teachers into schools through a 15-month training program for career-changers with higher education.
To support schools and kindergartens, we need your help — every donation helps ensure quality education for students, even when their teacher is absent.
