We use the donations made in the ‘I love to help’ environment to support the smallest patients of Tallinn Children’s Hospital, i.e. premature newborns.

We want to do everything we can to ensure that premature babies, who have to fight for their lives in hospital after birth, have the best conditions and treatment facilities.

Profoundly premature newborn babies weigh very little, they need to recover and grow in an incubator and their vital functions are supported by a range of equipment. Most recently, we purchased a fully digital mobile X-ray machine and an echocardiography machine. We also supported the creation of a breast milk bank with the donations made in the ‘I love to help’ environment.

With the support of good donors, we would now like to purchase MRI equipment a for the children’s hospital. MRI makes it possible to diagnose in time different diseases including neurosystem-, rheumatological-, orthopedic- and oncological diseases and developmental disorders. MRI is a modern and more widely used examination method that with the help of strong magnetic field makes it possible to get 2-and 3-dimensonal images of different parts of bodies and organs. It is especially important for children that no ionizing or x-ray radiation is used by MRI. The cost of the innovative and child-friendly MRI is approximately 2,7 million euros. The final price will be fixed after the procurement.
