74% of KiVa schools are running it at the implementation level!

The 2025/2026 school year summaries are complete, and we have reason to celebrate: there are 91 schools at the implementation level, which is 74% of all KiVa schools.

KiVa is a research- and evidence-based programme for preventing and reducing bullying. Reaching the implementation level means that a school follows the main principles of high-quality programme delivery.

What does operating at the implementation level mean in practice? The school:

systematically and consistently delivers a sufficient number of KiVa prevention lessons;

handles bullying cases according to the KiVa methodology;

introduces the KiVa programme and its activities to the different members of the school community;

takes part in the annual KiVa student survey, which monitors bullying-related experiences and well-being at school.

Following the indicators of high-quality KiVa implementation creates the conditions for better results in reducing bullying, and helps increase the well-being and satisfaction of students, teachers and parents with the school’s anti-bullying work.

All of these activities require commitment, systematic effort, consistency and cooperation in order to build a safer, more bullying-free school environment.

Congratulations to the 91 schools that reached the implementation level!Many thanks to all the teachers, KiVa team members, school leaders and all other members of the school communities. Everyone’s contribution counts!

Many thanks to all the donors whose contributions help create a safe and caring educational path!
