Estonian Fund for Nature: Support the Community activities day "Let's do it!"
How does your donation help?
On the community activities day, each community, association or active citizen can decide what needs to be done, organise collective activities and invite others to join in.
Donations will be used for the preparation of starter kits and to engage young people in organising the events. The starter kit, which is a practical tool and acknowledgement to voluntary cleanup organisers, will be provided to about 2,000 organisers across Estonia prior to the community activities day. In order to get young people involved, we will encourage them to organise cleanups in every county, focusing on themes that matter most to them and by inviting others to help out. This is how hundreds of young people across Estonia will get leadership experience and thousands of other youngsters participating shall gain a novel experience of volunteering, which will likely motivate them to take part in similar events in the future.
The big cleanup event of 2008 and the brainstorming day of 2009 have led to the community activities day "Let's do it!”, which promotes volunteering activities and an active attitude to life. The community activities day of 2016 involved 1,986 cleanup events that brought together a total of 44,372 people living in Estonia.
