Serve the City: “Support the creation of new opportunities for volunteering”
How does your donation help?
There are a lot of organisations operating in Estonia that focus on helping people. With the help of volunteers, they could achieve even more; unfortunately, these organisations have very few employees who can focus on managing and coordinating volunteers.
The task of Serve of City is to improve these organisations even better with the help of volunteers. In six years, we have got more than 2,000 people volunteering and lent a helping hand to more than 50 organisations. We want to increase the numbers of regular volunteers and we believe that we can do a lot to make this a reality. The donated money will, among other projects, go to “Adventure Club”, which will take the children of one social house per month and organise a fun, educating and inspiring day for them. Be it a day at an adventure park, a day trip to the fire department or airport – we will spend quality time with children who need positive attention and role models.
The organization is included on the list of income tax incentive non-profit organizations and the donors will get back the income tax paid from their donation and the donations made by companies are tax-free (Estonian Income Tax Act § 49). Read more about taxes: Donating and taxes.
