Cancer Society „Support the establishment of a counselling centre for cancer patients!"
How does your donation help?
There are ca 40,000 people with cancer in Estonia, plus the people who have recovered from the disease. In a survey carried out by the Cancer Society and Praxis in 2013, more than 50% of cancer patients said that they needed psycho-social counselling after being diagnosed or during recovery.
We have initiated the establishment of a counselling centre to offer systematic psycho-social counselling to cancer patients and their loved ones. The main goal of establishing the centre is to help patients achieve mental and moral balance. We hope to counsel ca 1000 people per year.
With donations we want to support the activities of the counselling centre.
