How does your donation help?

The main objective of the Estonian Association of Hard of Hearing People is to provide assistance to hard of hearing people and raise their quality of life. In order to take hearing-related counselling and assistance wherever needed in Estonia and raise general awareness of hearing care (especially among young people), we will launch a Hearing Bus.

We plan to use the donations collected with your help to procure a set of testing equipment to perform hearing tests in the Hearing Bus. If a decline in hearing is detected, we can provide immediate counselling and referral to a doctor.

The activity will improve early detection and awareness of hearing problems and available opportunities to get help. It is good to be aware of the state of your hearing to prevent more serious problems, as undiagnosed hearing impairment can cause dejection, depression and other mental health issues.

Whether directly or indirectly, the problems associated with hearing impairment affect us all. There are about 200,000 people with a hearing impairment in Estonia.

Even the smallest donation is truly appreciated, as it inches us closer to the launch of the Hearing Bus and procurement of the necessary interior fixtures and audiometry equipment. In addition to the audiometer, the equipment set includes headphones, computer, printer, software, patient response console, audiogram sheets, and a power supply adapter
