How does your donation help?
The Estonian Refugee Council (ERC) has been providing humanitarian aid in Ukraine since 2014. Due to the active war in Ukraine, the Estonian Refugee Council is currently collecting donations for:
- Provision of humanitarian assistance in Ukraine. The help currently goes toward civilians affected by the war, including those living in frontline towns and internally displaced persons, as well as delivering medical supplies to hospitals;
- Organising evacuations. We are organising transport from the Ukrainian border to Estonia in evacuation buses, so that Ukrainian with links to Estonia could get to a safe place;
- Supporting the livelihoods of Ukrainian refugees in Estonia. ERC supports Ukrainian refugees who arrive in Estonia through counselling, housing provision, etc.
The mission of the Estonian Refugee Council is to stand up for the rights and well-being of refugees in Estonian and elsewhere. To do so, the Council offers support services to beneficiaries of international protection who arrive here, provides humanitarian aid to refugees outside of Estonia (currently in Ukraine, Georgia, Jordan, Lebanon and Kenya) and is one of the most important centres of competence in migration and integration.
The Estonian Refugee Council is a humanitarian aid organisation certified by the European Union and it has been providing humanitarian aid in Ukraine since 2014.
The organization is included on the list of income tax incentive non-profit organizations. The donors will get back the income tax paid from their donation and the donations made by companies are tax-free (Estonian Income Tax Act § 49). Read more about taxes: Donating and taxes.
