SACSC: “Let’s help improve the quality of the lives of orphaned children and the grandparents who raise them!”
How does your donation help?
The Orphan Support project of the Self-help and Advisory Centre for Senior Citizens (SACSC) holds an important place in the lives of children left without the care of their mothers and fathers and the grandparents who raise them. We have cooperated with the target group for years and this has showed us that it’s difficult for the retired grandparents of orphaned children to develop their interests, but the children yearn for new knowledge and experience, impressions and contacts.
We’re carefully planning activities within the scope of the Orphan Support project that would further the development of children in as many areas as possible – theatre, cinema, museums, exhibitions, training, sports and trips. Celebrating different joint events is also important.
If you donate 1 euro every month, we can buy a theatre or concert ticket for that money. Donations of 10 euros per month or 120 euros per year give one child a place in a camp or training lessons for two or three children for a month.
The money we’ve already raised has helped us improve the lives of 31 children and the 27 grandparents raising them and help the children keep up with their peers.
