During the year, we have helped guest teachers speak in front of more than 20,000 students. About 2,500 professionals from various fields have registered as guest teachers through “Back to School” in order to share their knowledge with school children. For example, guest teachers tell students about their career choices, IT specialists teach kids about internet safety, investors and engineers explain how they use mathematics in their work, etc.
“Back to School” aims to bring at least one visiting teacher to every school kid each year. In order to do so, we shall promote visiting lessons on a wider scale and among teachers; we also have a web-based information system for setting dates for guest lessons.
Your contributions will help us develop a new e-lesson option in 2017–2018 and make it accessible for all students in Estonia.
An e-lesson is a 45-minute lesson, during which the guest teacher will be visible for the students via a live broadcast for 15–20 minutes and the students shall spend the other 20–25 on a relevant activity with the teacher’s guidance. During the academic year of 2017–2018, in relation to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia, we will give 100 e-lessons with guest teachers as a present to 1st to 12th graders. The aim of the project is to encourage school kids to think along with current events in Estonian society. Our goal with the project is to create opportunities for e-lessons with guest teachers on different topics in the future as well
The organization is included on the list of income tax incentive non-profit organizations and the donors will get back the income tax paid from their donation and the donations made by companies are tax-free (Estonian Income Tax Act § 49). Read more about taxes: Donating and taxes.

The mission of Back to School e-lessons is to create high quality teaching materials to aid teachers in developing competences and life skills of their pupils. The initiative was born at Youth to School Foundation (in Estonian: SA Noored Kooli) which has now turned into a platform with the purpose of strengthening the cooperation between schools and the rest of the society.
The organization has been in the donation enviroment already several years.

This is why YFU Estonia organises student exchange programs at the upper secondary level and offers exchange year opportunities for enterprising and curious young people who are willing to experience life in a new family and culture.
