Youth to School - city camp in Narva

Next July, a 2 week long city camp for 400 children takes place in Narva, and even your smallest contribution will help children to participate in all of the planned activities. We have to raise €7000, and we will be grateful for every donation. Your impact:

€5: one child in Narva can participate in one lesson of the Estonian-language city camp.

€10: one child in Narva can participate for one day in the Estonian-language city camp.

€25: one child in Narva can participate for one week in the Estonian-language city camp.

City camp details

In the Noored Kooli program, learning and teaching go hand in hand. To prepare new participants in the program for the start of their career as a teacher on 1 September, they are provided with a 6-weeks crash course during the summer. Practical training constitutes a significant part of the instruction of participants – they can teach real students over a period of 2 weeks in the format of a city camp.

For the past 6 years, we have organised the city camps in Ida-Virumaa. We started in Kiviõli where our mission was to bring together the students of local Russian and Estonian schools, helping them to improve their skills in mathematics, Estonian or English in a project-based learning format. In 2018, the city camp moved to Narva where we can work with more students, providing them with an experience of learning and using the Estonian language in a supportive environment.

In 2021, we will organise the next Estonian-language city camp for the students in Narva. The participants in the Noored Kooli program gain an invaluable experience of working as a teacher. 400 children in Narva will become more confident in their Estonian language skills, while gaining an experience of accomplishment and a sense that other people believe in them.

The organization is included on the list of income tax incentive non-profit organizations and the donors will get back the income tax paid from their donation and the donations made by companies are tax-free (Estonian Income Tax Act § 49). Read more about taxes: Donating and taxes.
