How does your donation help?
The NGO Life with Dementia was established to help people with dementia and their family members cope in new situations. We are united in the commitment towards providing these people with a dignified life and raising general dementia-awareness in Estonia.
According to the WHO data from 2012, there are likely at least 13,000 people with dementia in Estonia. This figure tends to redouble after every 20 years. Support is required for both the people with dementia and their family members whose number is even greater and who are under a heavy care burden.
In a dementia-aware society, people with dementia and their family members can feel safe and supported wherever they are and whatever they do.
Your donation enables the NPO Life with Dementia to kickstart the process of creating a dementia-aware society by organising Memory Cafe events for people with dementia. The Memory Cafe format is designed to provide information and support and prevent loneliness. Recognising the value of people with dementia in society would be a major step towards destigmatising the issue and starting a discussion. The participants in a Memory Cafe can feel safe, cared for and appreciated. The objective of the NPO is to promote the Memory Cafes in different locations in Estonia, starting with Paide and Hiiumaa. Your donations help us streamline the organisation of Memory Cafes and supplement them with visits to institutions with an entrance fee and buy the participants a piece of cake in addition to coffee. Memory Cafes are open to people with dementia and their family members. The unique format of Memory Cafes is a great way to support people with dementia, especially at the initial or mild stages of the conditions. Together we can help more!
Your donations help us cover the cost of organising Memory Cafes and transform the cafes into a permanent support service for people with dementia and their families.
- For €5, we can buy the participants a piece of cake in addition to coffee;
- for €10, we can visit institutions with an entrance fee; and
- for €25, we can invite guest presenters to Memory Cafes.

Childhood sexual abuse leads to both mental and physical health problems that are impossible to overcome without help. The anonymous and victim-focused safe support groups of the NGO Estonian SV Support Groups are the only way to get help for many victims.

Wars and natural disasters can take everything from a person in an instant: their loved ones, access to food, medical care, warm home, income. Children are particularly vulnerable in a crisis, as their education is disrupted and they suffer mental trauma. The price of the months, sometimes years when school-age children and young people cannot go to school is very high for society. Mondo provides much-needed support to children affected by wars and natural disasters to mitigate the damage caused by crises and give them back the childhood they need and deserve.
