How does your donation help?

Every year in August, the Opinion Festival creates an inspiring meeting point on Paide Vallimägi where all people living in Estonia and interested in our life here are most welcome.

The Opinion Festival wants to acknowledge that each person is important to Estonia and each person can bring about profound changes. This requires the ability to listen and debate. These are the very abilities that the Opinion Festival wishes to improve in addition to spreading inspiration and interesting ideas.

Over the last two years, we have seen at the Opinion Festival that it is possible to exchange opinions in a manner that is well-founded and respectful to other debaters. We have discovered at first hand that people are willing to share their thoughts on various topics using their own name, and not anonymously.

In order to carry out the discussions with purpose and rigour, we train moderators for the Opinion Festival’s discussions. With your help, we wish to raise 3000 Euros, which we will use to improve the necessary skills of the discussion moderators. The budget of the Opinion Festival is between 85-100 000 Euros.
