How does your donation help?
Teach For Estonia is organising a two-week city camp for up to 500 children in Narva at the start of July, focusing on teaching the kids Estonian and enhancing their social skills. The camp participants include children from families in difficult socio-economic situations. We would like to raise donations to offer these children a free lunch at the end of the camp day. The lunches for a two-week camp cost EUR 18 per child. We are asking for your help with providing these meals.
The city camp is held in Narva on 6–16 July. During the two weeks, the kids from Narva will learn Estonian and develop social skills under the guidance of participants of the Teach For Estonia programme.
One of the target groups of the city camp is children from families dealing with a difficult socio-economic situation. These children are invited to the camp in cooperation with social pedagogues from the schools in Narva. As the current time is financially difficult for many families in Narva, we want to offer these children a free lunch at the end of each camp day.
We at Teach For Estonia work to ensure that every child in Estonia can have an excellent education by recruiting people with leadership potential to work as a teacher for 2 years.
The organization is included on the list of income tax incentive non-profit organizations and the donors will get back the income tax paid from their donation and the donations made by companies are tax-free (Estonian Income Tax Act § 49). Read more about taxes: Donating and taxes.
